Water parameters: Temperature 23-26°C / 73-79°F; pH 5.0 – 7.0

Aquarium setup: Apistogramma nijsseni (Nijsseni's Dwarf Cichlid) should be kept in a well planted aquarium with free areas to swim on. Make sure to provide a lot of caves among roots and rocks. Keep on male with 3-4 females.

Feeding: Apistogramma nijsseni (Nijsseni's Dwarf Cichlid accept flake food but should not be fed this as their stable diet. They are best fed frozen and live food.

Breeding: Apistogramma nijsseni (Nijsseni's Dwarf Cichlid) spawns in a cave or on a root. The femles tends to the care of the eggs and fry.
