Company: Cheilodipterus alleni (Wolf Cardinalfish) is a suitable addition to a reef setup.

Aquarium Setup: Cheilodipterus alleni (Wolf Cardinalfish) are nocturnal and must be given a dark place in the aquarium where it can seek shelter during the day. They desire lower temperatures, but 72-78 degrees F. is fine. Keep the levels of nitrate, nitrite and ammonia as close to zero as possible. Wolf Cardinalfish are especially sensitive to nitrites and ammonia. Vigorous filtration is recommended.

Food: Cheilodipterus alleni (Wolf Cardinalfish) feed on small fishes, mobile invertebrates, zoobenthos and benth crustaceans. You can give your cardinalfish small fish, shrimp and other fresh and frozen meaty foods. You can also train it to accept frozen processed foods, but avoid dry prepared foods, such as pellets and flakes.

Breeding: We are unable to provide any information about how to breed Cheilodipterus alleni (Wolf Cardinalfish) in aquariums.
