Aquarium setup: Danio hikari accept most water conditions but will show much better colors if kept in a clean aquarium within the above mentioned water parameters. The aquarium decoration should consist of dense vegetation a long the sides of the aquarium leaving a lot of free space to swim on in the center of the aquarium. Danio hikari should be kept in a school of at least 5 fishes.

Feeding: Danio hikari will accept flake floods, pellets. Loves live foods such as bloodworms and daphnia.

Breeding: Egg-scattering like other danios. Easiest using breeding aquarium with lots of feathery plants, remove adults after eggs are laid or they will be eaten. Provide they fry with very small live food. The fry usually accepts mashed tried food.
