 Aquarium setup:  Xiphophorus meyeri (Muzquiz Platyfish) best  kept in an aquarium that is densely planted in the back and towards the  sides of the aquarium. Leave the center and front of the aquarium open  too give the fishes open areas to swim on. You should keep more females  than males.
 
 Feeding:  Xiphophorus meyeri (Muzquiz Platyfish) will usually accept most food sources but prefers small live food.
 
 Breeding:  Xiphophorus meyeri (Muzquiz Platyfish) are  livebearers that give birth to fully developed fry among the  vegetation. The pregnant females can be isolated to protect the fry.  One single fertilization can result in several batches of fry since the  females can “save” sperm.
