Aquarium setup: Thayeria boehlkei (Penguin Tetra) should be ekpt in a well planted aquarium. Decorate the aquarium with dense vegatiotin at the sides but leave open space for the fish to swim on in the center of the aquarium. The swim in a zig-zag motion with its head higher than its tail.
Feeding: They accept flake food and live foods such as bloodworms and brine shrimp.
Breeding: Penguin Tetras can be breed in aquariums but breeding them are not always easy. Remove eggs or change water after spawning since the males produce a large amount of sperm that might ruin the water quality.
