Company: juvenile Catoprion mento (Wimple Piranha) can be kept with other hardy species. Adult specimens are best kept in a species aquarium since they will eat scales and sometimes eyes from other fish.

Aquarium setup: Catoprion mento (Wimple Piranha) should be kept in an aquarium with dark bottom substrate and plenty of hiding spaces.
