Company: Squirlfish, Groupers, Snappers, Damsels, Hawkfish, Surgeonfish, Eels, and Triggers are considered appropriate tankmates. Should not be housed with Lionfish as this species will bite the venomous spines off the Lion. Should be last introduced to the tank
Aquarium Setup: Minimum 180gal with plenty of hiding spaces.
Food: This species feeds on sponge in the wild. Can adapt to aquarium feeding. Feed plenty of veggie matter along with meaty offerings. occasionaly offerings of special Angelfish blends containing marine sponge should be offered.
Breeding: Not captive bred. Spawning occurs in the late summer. Forms monogamous pairs
