Aquarium Setup: The sailfin pim require a very large aquarium as they grow large.  The aquarium should contain open spaces for night-time antics. Provide one large hiding retreat. Do not place a heater near anywhere this fish may try to hide, as it will burn itself.

Breeding: There has been no recorded breeding of the sailfin pim in the aquarium industry, mostly due to the size of tank it would require for just one pair.
