The Pug dog was developed to accompany the Chinese emperor and the breed has existed since the Shang dynasty. In China, these dogs are called Lo-Chiang-Sze. Eventually, the Pug was imported to Tibet where the breed was kept by the monks. It also became a popular breed among the Japanese, and then eventually made the journey to Europe. The Pug arrived to the United States during the 19th century and it today a popular pet all over the world. The Pug is a small breed with a wrinkly face and it is a highly sociable creature that loves to spend time with its owner.
