A betta named Seymour has just been added to our household....I couldn't help but rescue him. I work with a friend of mine parttime doing office cleaning and one of the depts had this poor guy in their kitchen. The first time I saw the bowl it was so cloudy you couldn't see the fish in there. I have been dropping hints for a couple of weeks and Friday the girls told me to take him home if I wanted him!
Now, mind you, I wasn't in the market for another fish, but it was driving me nuts seeing this poor thing living like that! I brought him home, changed some of his water and finally this morning got him into a 1 gal glass bowl. He was originally in a plastic one that was scratched, bent an on the verge of just breaking all together. He won't stay in the glass bowl for long, just until I can find the extra cash to pick up another small eclipse (or something similar) tank like Rainbow is in. But, life here has got to be better than what he would have had there. I wonder what they planned on doing over the long holiday weekend????? So far he seems quite content.....is eating well and built a small bubble nest over the weekend. Luckily the weather is warmer now so his water won't get cold until I get him into a new tank all his own.
Here are his pics.....

Nice job. One time I went to this 99 cents store, and they had all these male bettas in the smallest cups you have ever seen! It was awful! They had one betta in a 1 gal glass bowl and the water was all soapy.
