Does anyone know the water temperature range for Blue channel cats?

Mine was outside in a pond all winter with water temps in the low 40s through all summer with water temps in the low 80s. Pretty wide really. For a temparature controlled tank or other I would say mid 70s would be best. Assuming you have a 500 gal tank to keep one in correctly.:hmm3grin2orange:

500g for a fingerling or two really lol. 5k gallons is about right for a blue to really live life in.

can I ask why you would want such a huge catfish? Is there a fish fry coming up?

I keep mine to avoid fish fry:ssuprised:
For op. A channel cats size when kept well would be over 2 ft long and 15 to 20lbs in about 2 yrs. They aren't an aquarium fish. Mine is going to the Bass pro shop aquarium at the end of this year, then ill get another next spring.
