The rules have changed slightly for the competiton. You must now have been an active member for atleast 1 month (50 posts + some rep) to be able to vote in the competition. We are doing these changes due to popular demand and to make sure that members feel the competitions are fair and not rigged.

If you think you meet these criteria and still can´t vote, send me a PM.

Try to vote now. If you are not yet eligible, you will be next month.

If you haven't been a member for a full month, are you still eligible for participating in POTM?

The changes only affect voting.

People......read your forum rules. No changes have been made to anything in the rules.

Todays changes are only for voting. You must be a member for one month, have 50 posts and some rep points to vote in any contest. No one likes changes but some times it's necessary in order to keep contests honest for all of us.

If you try to vote in a poll and are not allowed, it simply means all of your criteria has not been met and you will be able to vote next month.

Why are these changes needed?
I have been voting in the competions for a while now and suddenly can't.

Because we were having a slew of people registering hours before the contest closed only to vote and then never to return. We hate changes, too, but some people made this necessary to keep things honest.

Nice people.

Thanks

Edit: It just let me vote so I don't know what happened.

did you compare the IP addresses of the newly registered voting accounts to any of the IP addresses of the contestants? Seems pretty sad for someone to try and rig a contest with no reward other than a tiny forum graphic, but I can't see why someone would do it if they had no involvement whatsoever.

We know who they are, yes. But we needed to make sure it doesn't happen over and over.

Nice people.

Read your PM and you will see why.

The rule change makes sense... I know personally that I had told a number of people I know that I had entered one of the competitions on here and they immediately asked if they could see the pic. I had told them you probably need to be a member to see it but whether they signed up and voted is not something I asked them about but I guess its possible. Hopefully they werent the ones that signed up hours before it ended!:scry:
