I think the pufferfish tank has settled down. The fish appear to be doing well. I don't like the cheapy mini-filters that came with both the 10g and the 25l tanks (same filter)...all it takes is one clamshell - that has carbon surrounded by that white cloth-like stuff...

...so I bought these small Fluval foam filters to stuff behind the clamshell...hopefully that does the trick for more bio-filtration...

I also bought some white mosquito larvae for the puffers (and others)...but haven't tried feeding them that yet...maybe tomorrow...

...anyhoo...couple of pics with my crappy digital! Not too crappy I suppose...given how small the puffers are...

...and one of all the goldfish...just for the heck of it...

The big fantail is Speckles...the orange Oranda is Elvis...the little lionhead is The Spotted Egg and the Black Moor is Blackie...

Thanks!

For being so little...those puffers have big attitude! They were nibbling on my fingers when I was cleaning snail shells out of the tank...

...well, the goldfish will check out my hand too...but they're way bigger...

Big attitude is one of the funnest things about puffers, kinda like owning the terriers of the aquatic world. It usually takes a few days for them to settle in and all, but before you know it you will have them following you around the house by zipping back and forth in the tank.

What kind of brackish are you considering Full3r? Do plenty of research, some stay brackish, but alot need full marine as adults, and worse yet, LFS will sell FW puffers as BW because they don't know diddly! If there is a possibility of a puffer at a store I usually have my 3 ring notebook I put together with just pics, general information and whatnot on FW, BW and SW puffers so I have better luck identifying before I purchase.

Sorry for the incredibly late reply kimmers
i havent had time to log in and around and when i finally did come back i needed to sign in agena nd i couldnt remember my password so i had to get William ro renew my password

anyway the puffers i plan to get live in brackish their entire life, theyre found in brackish waters containing archerfish so i plan to keep them together in a large aquarium

Hi everyone!
My name is Stacy and I just recently moved into a house that has a tasnk built into the wall. My boyfriend and I got a pair of Spotted Pufferfish. And they are named "Ike and Tina" right know they are babies but Ike is really mean. He trys to fight his reflection and he will not let Tina eat. I have to put him in the net so she can eat. I would like to get other fish but I do not know what kind of fish they can be around. Can someone help?

Thanks
Stacy

Hey Stacy. I would recommend posting this in a new thread. People may lose it here in this old thread. As far as your question, sorry, but I don't know much about puffers.
