Nice fish!
Great catch! Its illegal to use small fish other than local minnows for bait fish in Ontario.He used a bluegill.lol

there was a larger bass caught in California, but it was foul hooked and the angler didn't submit it for the record.
The big female (over 25#) was released , several months later it was found dead.

The thing is this.The guy who had the orig record caught the fish from a rickety ole row boat using a plug that was probably one of his very few lures he owned.They have been trying to beat this record forever now using 1/4 million dollar boats with as much electronics as a navy destroyer using basically the same tactics as the navy. Unless some good ole boy or some little girl with a barbie doll rods catches the true record I dont care.thumbs2: Long live George Perrys true record thumbs2:
