Ok, got some pics. Not many as they are a bit frightened by the camera.

Does anyone know how to sex ruby barbs? Some of them have a soild black dorsel fin, some only have a black strip the rest is clear.

the smaller, plumper ones are usually the feamles, in principal with barbs. Maybe the gonopodium will be showing near the anal fin, but don't count on me. try a more specialized site. they usually spawn pretty frequently 0without much conditioning, so you might not need to know

Those are great looking barbs!

Supposedly with black rubies you can tell by color, males are supposed to be brighter but yours are still small so it might not be too easy to tell... they can also be sexed like most other barbs, with the females being a bit bigger and more robust, that's how I do it when we get in the adults at the LFS:hmm3grin2orange:

Thanks, the barbs are settling in and starting to show some color. Thou they are still small, maybe about 1 and a half inches long right now. I also got some more pics of them.
