In the laboratory we can keep all kinds of organisms alive in long term cryo storage. Bacteria, yeast and mammalian cells are great examples. It's good to see that technology going to a good practical use as well.

i have to agree with the australian guy in the artical. haveing a fridge full of coral is great but i'd much rather have the living reef

Of course...but I'd rather have stuff tucked away safe where I can't see it rather than loose it forever (should it come to that)...

I agree to with bush, smart idea but maybe we should be trying to firgure out og keep the co2 down.
