OMG, how did that paper get through the peer review process and published with that title?!?!?!?

Cyanobacteria is NOT algae, even though it's called blue-green algae. It's a prokaryote, not a eukaryote, biology 101. That is so misleading I can't believe they published that.

Yeah, that jumped out at me like a sore thumb too, I couldn't help but say something. But for people without a biology background they're going to believe that it was algae, not bacteria, and that is just bad science. Really makes you wonder about Clemson University.

Somehow I find it doubtful that the toxic slime was the source of the problem; more likely a symptom or side effect of something else.
