View Full Version : Penn-Plax "Relics" OK for use as ghost shrimp caves?

I'm considering and researching ghost shrimp.

I picked up some Penn-Plax "Relics". These are little terra cotta jars, about 2"-3" deep and 1" wide.

Are these suitable for ghost shrimp caves/cover? I was reading about "small plant pots" as caves and cover, are these "Relics" too small?

They dont sound too small to me, make sure no fish can fit through the opening and you're good

I have guppies and in the future I'll have pygmy corys. They're small enough to get in the opening, yes - they're more or less the same size as the shrimp so it'll be hard to find something the shrimp can get in and the guppies can't. This is about as small as I've ever seen.

We do have one cave in the decorations though, and the guppies never go in there except when they're sick.
