I wish I can get my pics to look like that.....what cam you got? what setting is it on? any special lense? tank light on/off? surrounding lights on or off?

It all depends on what camera you have to the quality of your pics.

If you had the same camera as me then my settings and which lens I use would be of use to you.

If you have a different camera or a point & shoot my settings are not going to make a difference.

It is all down to practice and learning what your camera is capable of.

It is no good me saying use this setting or this lens if you don't have the same equipment.

Even different lenses and different coloured fish need different settings.

My camera is a nikon D80. Which is a semi pro camera. :ssmile:

Settings and other info.

Camera ~ Nikon D80

Lens ~ AF - S Nikkor 18 - 135 mm zoom.

Flash ~ off camera remote setting SB800 speed flash

Camera fixed to a gorilla pod.

Shutter speed ~ 1/160

F ~ 11

Tank lights ~ on

Room lights ~ on

No extra lighting

And a lot of patience & practice :ssmile:

I have a Fujifilm s5000 digital camera.

Were would that place me in regards to taking fish pics?
