Awesome! The largest TSN I have ever seen outside of a public aquarium has been online and it was just 2ft, its extremely rare to see them get this large in a home tank...very impressive :) I hope my TSN gets to atleast 30". I have one at my LFS that I doubt will get much over 2ft, the 6months Ive worked here hes grown about an inch and is around 20" now and hes in a 225G tank so its not like hes cramped for the moment at all. Thanks for posting this...its a gorgeous fish, about how large is his tank?

No Problem I like to show people pics of fish that can grow to this size. Tends to make them think twice about getting them. :ssmile: He is an impressive fish
He is in a 12 foot x 3 foot x 3 foot tank. Your welcome to print off a copy and show it at your LFS if you would like to. :ssmile:

Thats my LFS's theory we take in some random fish and keep on display to show people how big these fish can get even in a reasonbly large home sized aquarium. My owner has been talking about making a large tropical pond for the fish once they outgrow the 225G and 180G. We currently have the 20" TSN, a 12" TSN, a 10" RTC/TSN, and 2 15-17" Red bellied Pacus. Thankfully the 225G has a 30" width so they should be good to go for sometime. It is a pleasure to see other stores and people stepup and care for these fish, so few ever get to see a tank over 55G it seems.

I bet a pond like that would look fantastic.

Nice looker there as well! Its good to see Pacu around that arnt beat up, I remember how the 2 beasties we have now came in looking like. They were about 12" and in a 55G with a large Jag, needless to say they were beaten up pretty bad.

Here is a young one. He was up for sale at £279.00.

That was 6 months ago and he is still there

What a beautiful fish, shovelnose cats, tiger or otherwise are one of my all time favorites. Unfortunately the largest tank I'm even gonna have anytime soon will be 100 gal, so they aren't an option.

Yep I love big fish but looking at them is all I want to do. They don't really belong in the hobby unless you know for sure what your getting into. :ssmile:

Heres a pic of my 24" TSN after he ate a 7" Jag, 1 6" BG and 2 4" BGs He is in my 260g that is to small for him. I just fed him 30 Pinstripe damba's last night. His normal feeding is 6 jumbo prawns every other day. His name is Morty

There is no age limit per say if it is relevant to the thread. But if it is an old thread like this you can as well start a new thread. That way more people will see your wonderful fish as well.
