I just got a new loach today. I was really missing my weather loach and the snails are getting out of control. I just hope he gets along with my fish.
Hard to get a pic of a fish in a bag.

I can try, He seems pretty friendly. Do you think he would mind the string on his tail?

i dunno! some fish don't like the whole" tail tied up with string going in loops against their will" thing. but, with a little luck- maybe this one does! lol:hmm3grin2orange:
*** kite string seems to work the best!-- it's heavier gauge lol

******* for all who don't know me---i'm JOKING!

Good luck with your yo-yo....he looks beautiful! I hope he is ok alone, most loaches seem to prefer groups even though they don't really "school" like tetras. Keep an eye out as he matures also because I believe yo-yo's are one of the ones I've heard several times of not always playing well with other fish.

Here is a link to the profile on loaches.com in case you hadn't already seen it

So far he is doing great. He hasn't nipped anyone, so I am hopeful that he/she won't be aggressive. He's different from the loaches I've had before, he's more like a algae eater or cory. He's continuously "tasting" everything in the tank. He's very active (not like my lazy weather loaches). He's also taken a liking to me and comes to the front of the tank when I look in.
Also, the snail population has dropped to the point that you only see one or two larger snails when you look in. Which is great, because I was it to be a planted tank.
