The coolest thing happened, couldnt find my crab for a couple of days didnt worry cause I didnt think he had escaped. But it was unusual for him not to be seen for so long a period then yesterday I see his empty shell and he was out cruising the bottem of the tank for goodies. Anyone know how often they molt and if he requires anything special after molting? Also should I leave his old shell in there? Other fish in there are 3 gourami's 10 platy's 3 gold barbs, and one fancy guppy.

You don't have to remove the molted shell, but you can. If you lay the exoskeleton out to dry it will dry hard and is very neat to study. Mine tend to molt about every 4-6 months when they are happy. :) :20:
