I want to know who to send a pic to so they can downsize it to fit as an avatar.

I also want to know how to list a link as text. For example, in my signature where it lists my photobucket page, I would rather have it Simply say, 'MY PhotoBucket Page' and that itself be the link.

You can use any photo program to resize a picture so it's small enough for an avatar. I think the size here is 80x80 pixils. If your photo program won't do it, you could always send me the pic, I'll resize it and send it back.

To do the link it's

<URL="http://s28.photobucket.com/albums/c207/reptileguy2727/"] My Photobucket Album[/URL>

Just change the <'s to [ (I had to do that so it would show up in this post)

You can post your pic and I will resize it once it's posted to a thumbnail by doing an edit or you can mail to me carolo@dialpce.com and I will resize and send back to you.

If you picture is in photobucket already, hit edit above the picture, resize it to "forum size" which is, 640 x 480, save it to your computer like that and then load it up from the file you have saved it in. Works very well.

The ones that show up here as thumbnails have been computer stored. The large ones that need resizing are linked directly from photobucket without being save on your computer which is why they are so large.

I made you an avatar if you want it. It's your fish, I just cleaned up the picture and resized it for you. :)

Speaking of photos for avatars, does anyone know how to take a photo with a digital camera that will focus strickly on my fish and blur the background out. Every thing I take is flat as the fish and background are all focused together. I hope this makes sense. Thanks

You need to adjust the F-stop (if your camera can do it). If you have no manual settings on your camera, you're out of luck.
The small the F-stop setting the blurrier the background will be. 2.8 or a smaller number is recommended for blurry backgrounds.

How about the link though? Abbeys mom I see you did in your signature like I want to do, what do I type in my signature to get that?

(url=http://www.photobucket.com)My PhotoBucket Page(/url)

Gives you a link like this
(http://%5BURL=%22http://s28.photobucket.com/albums/c207/reptileguy2727/%22)My PhotoBucket Page (http://http//s28.photobucket.com/albums/c207/reptileguy2727)

If just replace the () with []

About you resizing pictures just use paint. pick select all and you can resize your pictures to whatever size you want.

If in "my pictures" folder you have a picture of yourself. Right click the picture and go to "open with" then click on paint. then your picture will be right on paint without copying and pasting.

Here's the avatar, I don't have enough points to put it up myself. but you can save it and upload it to this site from your computer.
