There is a small white spot on top of my zebra loach. On top his head before the dorsal fin. It is say 5mm by 3mm in an oval shape. It doesn't stick out or anything.

Any ideas for what it is??

Thankyou in advance.

Close-up shot, Tolley? Being oval instead of the round Ich, I'd have to see it to try and ID it for you, as I do have suspicions. I take it the loach is acting normally? Eating, and everything?

Told him it looked like a scrape, since it was on the high part of the fish and Botia like to jam themselves into tight spots, Angel. The shape and the very slight raise of the mark indicated a scrape with a bit of swelling.
Loach was also acting perfectly normal, with no flashing or odd behavior, which further indicated a scrape.
Kept eight species of Botia over the years and four species now, and seen little scrapes like that before.
