yeah i would have a ton of photos in the gallery except the system doesn't resize them for me and all my pictures on my desktop are huge widescreen shots. So i'd have to find a program that does that just so i can upload them to the gallery.

If you're using Windows, try the Image Resizer Power Tool:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

All you do is right-click the picture, choose a size (or custom and enter your own size), and it resizes the picture for you.

thanks that worked like a charm. i was afraid it would resize the actual picture but it didn't. and the name it gives it is easy and obvious.

I know the upload thing says file sizes are unlimited but thats a lie. it needs to be something like 250kb or smaller which is tiny compared to some of the huge pictures i have.

It is not unlimited but it is a lot higher than 250kb. however the pictures can not be more tehn 2500x2500 pixels. It is however good to ttry and keep thefile size down anyway as the hdd this site use would be full in no time if you upload to big images. It is really not much of an idea to upload to big images as The script never show them as bigger than a certin size which i think is 500x500 pixels or thereabout. So you are welcome to resize the images to that size.
