I know a lot of you have wanted this update a long time. A review section. (http://www.aquaticcommunity.com/review/) In this section you can post reviews of different aquarium products with pictures and everything. Reviews count towards you post count.

I will put this in the left menu a little later but let´s consider it beta for now and see if there are any bugs.

This updates have been made possible at this time by those who donated to the forum. I would like to thank you all. You know who you are.

I edited your product.
Product manufactorer = who makes the product Ie hikari
Product title = The name of the product ie tropical algae wafers

But thanks for adding a product. Now I know it works ;-)

Feel free to keep adding products as their will be awards for that soon.

About adding products. Try to be nutral when you add the product. When you have done that you can add a review to the product and say what you think about it. But keep the product describtion (thah should be just that a prodict describtion) neutral.

doug z
04-28-2008, 07:51 PM
can you add a "substrate" section William?

William
04-28-2008, 07:53 PM
And don´t forget to add a review of the the product as well when you added a product to the DB.

Justdid a book review..

Can you fix it william, so that it lists it as "Author", and "title", rather than manufacturer (I put author's name here), and "product" (I put book title here)?

Can I just write what it says on the package?

For the live plants, i meant things like ferts, co2 systems, trace nutrients, and such.

It is better if you write whats on the package in your own words.

To review a book you first have to add the book. then review it. Please don´t add your review as product description. Read mmy new post in this forum about it.

Can we get the Author and title feilds in there, though?

William

you just click the product and you see a review form under the product information.

If you send me correct info for it I´ll edit it.

WooHoo!! Thanks William!

It would be cool if we could track the amount of money donated. Like, money donated to date- $100000007 or something like that, just because I'm curious to know.:hmm3grin2orange:

Woh... that's really cool. That'll save a lot of people some trouble of posting questions about a lot of products before purchasing. I know I'll have my nose burried in there from time to time.

Thanks William!!!

First you add the product. At this time you stay objective and write a objective description. When you done this you can click the product and add a review. The script will now ask you for different information icnluding what you paid for it. Based on this informationit calculates the avarge price paid by all those who reviewed the product and disclosed what they paid.

Dang William, you are on a roll! Whats next?
Whats next: A fish diagnoser that will help diagnose fish. Or atleast give a suggestion on which disease it might be and where you find more info on that disease.

Couple suggestions if you don't mind :)

William, could you make a section in the reviews for salt mixes?

And possibly a section where we can review online stores? With local stores they are all different, but online stores is all one so reviews should be easy.

And a section for RO systems would be cool.

Just some suggestions. Thanks for all you have done William! The review section is great!

William
