I was wondering about the mods on this forum. Are they each in charge of specific of the forum or are they mods in general?

Thanks

We all share Moderation duties in general. There is some delineation of role however. Lady Hobbs leads the team and is in charge of the competitions.

grrrrrrrr I hate that super mod thing! I am just part of a TEAM!

PS.....Our decisions are also discussed and acted on as a team. If we can not agree on something, we vote.

...or we result to name-calling and threats, but that usually just makes us drink more. :wink2:

Great work hobbs! Its not easy!

I have a question about the mods too, sorry if I'm thread jacking but it seems the questions already been answered so,

when you guys do your thread moving and banning people and stuff like that, do you guys have just a little button or something next to the thread that says "move" or a button that says "sticky" or do you actually have to go into the forum HTML code everytime and rewrite whatever needs to be changed or something like that? Always wondered.....

V-Bulliton seems slightly different to way you explain cocoa.

Simple things like moving/closing a thread can be done from our basic window, it is the same as everyone elses only we have a foldown moderation menu containing these options, more in depth stuff like banning etc, we have a link to a control room, it does not need programming and is done by the hit of a button in the control room, its only forum updates etc that require coding, and thats the administrators ballgame:thumb:

The support, we get on here from the members, along with the general good behavior of the forum, makes the job a pleasure to do for you guys/gals, occasionaly we get a tough call, and always discuss harder issues between the lot of us before making a desision:thumb:

We do the best we can. On the most part, our membership has always been very kind, understanding and helpful and has been a very good group to work with. Now and then some like to cause a problem and they are just eliminated is all. Something we don't need here and you guys don't need it either.

I love threads like this because it gives me an opportunity to say Thanks to William and all of the mods who do a great job on this forum. Most importantly, thank you so much for basing the decisions you make on the needs of our community and its members.

I've seen little "issues" crop up from time to time. But everything always seems to be "cleaned up" quickly by our "Mod Squad" in a quick and professional manner. You guys all do an EXCELLENT job.

So again... Thank you.

Keep up the good work! We never say it enough but thank you. I have a question though, how do you pick who is mod?

It is a rigorous series of tests, both mental and physical. In order to be a Mod you must have at least the following:
1. IQ minimum of 10
2. Be able to run a 22.0 40-yard dash
3. Be able to bench press at least 30 pounds
4. Be able to leap tall buildings in a single splat

Seriously though, Lady and the other Mods make the recommendations and William makes the ultimate decisions. Drumachine09 and I became Mods on the same day, there was a gap that needed to be filled and Lady and William thought we'd be a good fit.

yeah i think ya'll do a wonderful job.
i like all of you very much and i support the good work. :)
and friendliness, i am not a member of any other forums but i would imagine some mods could be big meany-heads (for lack of better wording) with all that power happy some people get.
