I think so. I have three silver dollars and they are VERY active. Currently they are in a 55 gal with a blue gourami and a pink kissing gourami. The silver dollars are constantly swimming around following eachother almost playing in a sense. Mine also eat fine. They are some of the fastest fish i have seen.

Oh ok fair enough just i thought he might have been stressed, i found out they like to be in schools so i went out and bought 2 more that are only an inch his is 4 inches and he has ignored them so far, i dont think he knows they are the same species as they look very similar in shape and size to my tetras

Yea, i think they will all do well together.. it might take your big guy a little while to adjust but he will probably catch on. I would like to add a few more to my tank.. make a nice school.

I have 6 dollars that aren't that old yet but are skoaling with the black skirt tetra's. It's the funniest thing to watch. They are now dashing to the surface and grabbing food and running just as the tetra's do. I really love these little fish but I think they're confused right now as to what they are. LOL

Anyone have experience with silver dollars and severums in the same tank? The pair of severums I have now are only midly aggressive, but I would think that skoal of silver dollars could hold their own. Any thoughts?

Just saw the video of the 240 g arowana, silver dollars, oscars, etc. tank and noticed that it had severum and silver dollars, so I think that I will be okay.
