Ok so i've decided im going to breed my gold barbs and need to get a few things straight.

What foods should i condition them on and how often should i feed it?

I only have my 'pair' as i'd call them. Will they be alright alone on each side of a divider in a 5g tank?

The tank's got good aeration, should i do like 10% w/c everyday to keep them in peak conditon?

Does the tank have to be bare bottom? I can clear a middle third of the bottom but the sides have plants, will that suffice? or not?

thanks

I don't know much about them but here are some links for you:

You can probably use stuff like blood worms and brine shrimp. It is better to use as many live foods as you can as that helps trigger the spawn.

well you should have some stuff for the eggs to go on so that the barbs can't get at thema dn eat them. You can always clear the one spot off and then but some meshy kind of thing in there that the eggs can fall down into so that the fish can't get at them. the meshy thing should be about 1" off of the bottom of the tank. But other than that you should have some plants in there for them to lay the eggs onto.

Java moss is great. If you leave it in the main tank for a little bit,it collects bit of food that are great for new fry to snack on
