View Full Version : Changing Username

01-03-2008, 10:54 PM
I saw an option at the store called change username. It costs 1000 points.
I really don't like my username. I made it up really quick and whenever I see it I want it changed. So I would like to change my name to just 'Nick'
But before I do so I want to make sure this works.
When I change my name will all my points and, # of posts and rep points and inbox and everything else stay the same? Is it your username and your uername ONLY that changes or does something else change too?
Has anybody here changed their username and knows about this?
Not just change the user title but to actually change your username.
Does doing so affect anything else?

You will only loose points.

Your username "Freshwaterfishies" will change, but your title and rank will stay the same, as will your reputation points.

Do you have 1000, or do you need me to donate a few to you?

So the only points I lose are the ones I spent?
Thanks for offering to donate points but it's ok. I have 3000 right now, I won't have much left but I can afford. Thanks for the offer.

Hey fishies I like your name dont change it

01-03-2008, 11:39 PM
glad you like it!
Although I really don't
I much rather have my username to be my actual name. Nick. I know it really isn't that creative but it fits me!
Also since I now have some brackish fish and since I will also get saltwater eventually the name 'freshwaterfishies' doesn't really fit.

Ok,goodbye freshwaterfishies......hello Nick...LOL

How bout $Nick$

01-04-2008, 12:20 AM
Is it possible to do something in a different font?
What about <Nick> or {Nick} or ~Nick~

Just throwing ideas out there lol.

~Nick~ looks pretty cool

01-04-2008, 12:24 AM
Not real sure about the fonts.

But using symbols before and after your name, I would not really recommend, for 2 reasons, it makes it hard and deters people from giving you gifts/donations, and it also makes it hard come comps and awards.

LOL...and I don't like squiggles in names...I always wonder if they're typos of some sort...

How about NickFish?

01-04-2008, 12:28 AM
Ya I guess it wouldn't be a good idea to put the squiggily thingies.
I like NickFish but would it be possible to put 2 capital letters in the same word?

Try it...if it doesn't work...I'll donate points so you can fix it again...

Unless Crack know?

01-04-2008, 12:36 AM
Just had a look around, and theres a few with combinations of upper and lower case lettering, so I guess it works

Thanks that is very nice of you.
I probably won't change for a few days so I can get a few suggestions and think about what I would like.
Any ideas or suggestions?

When you add those weird things before or after your name, it's hard for others to donate or give gifts since the name they enter has to be the same.

Just my thoughts.

01-05-2008, 02:13 AM
Ya that's what I was thinking too.
Thanks for allt he advice.
I will soon change my name to just Nick. Sound ok?

01-05-2008, 04:46 PM
Nvm nick is taken so maybe NickFish. Or NicktheFish...hmmmmmm

01-05-2008, 05:14 PM
I still vote for NickFish...it has a nice ring to it...
