I was just getting a good look at Ares for the first time in a few days cause Iíve been busy with packing and whatever and half his body is almost black? When usually itís a blue?

Iíve been doing water changes every week, 50% and put a tiny bit of flourish in once a week for his plants cause Iíve been having plant issues. Nothing in my routine has changed in a year other than the flourish but this is definitely a new thing
Water test is normal too 0/0/20/8.2 - which is a normal ph for me

I put him in a cup to try and get better pictures but heís usually in a 10 gal by himself.

Heís been acting totally normal too- eating fine, being excited to see everything around him, swimming all over the place

Could just be normal coloration change as he matures.

^Yeah^

I have a betta I bought sick-he was yellow and red. As he got better he became white with red spots-almost Koi like. As he has gotten older he has gone from opaline with red to blue in body with red spots. Quite a color change. He is very healthy my little Tony (Stark).

Well apparently these are stressful fish for me! Haha

Iíve had him a year and heís always been blue and red so to see the sudden change scared the [emoji90] out of me last night!

Good to know though! And Iíll have to keep that in mind since I intend to keep having bettas
