Saw this Betta with in a tank of Rosey Tetra in my LFS.
Took a while to notice but the tail and the dorsal fin has a slight blue colouration.

Interesting. I assume that is a female, no?

The LFS has no information on female betta's at all. Just prices for males. The body doesn't appear scaley like female betta that I have seen. Certainly not timid either. Acts very curious about anyone coming close to the tank.

It could be a wild or wild type betta.
