Hi,

I was looking for a reputable aquatic centre to donate my little platy fry to, and found a place with extremely well looked after bettas. I couldn't resist turning my 5 gallon fry tank into a betta tank. Meet Austin! He's a lovely quirky little guy and likes the space. He made a fantastic bubble nest but it seems to have disappeared.
Doesn't do his colourings justice, but he has streaks of magenta

Here's his tank (I think it might be bigger than 5 gallons)

He's eating a diet of Hikari micro pellets, dried daphnia, dried shrimp and dried bloodworm.
How old do you think he is? :)

That is one nice treatment for the betta. Most people put them in a little jar. It's nice to have all the plants, space, lighting and heater. Sweet.

Thanks! I'd hate to have him in a little jar - they really have quirky personalities when given the space :)

That tank looks a lot bigger than my 6 gallon for some reason, might I ask what its dimensions are? From the pic it looks massive.

I'm pretty sure it's 25x25x45 cm, making it roughly 28000cm3, and about 6 us gallons? It looks larger than it is (the aqua-blue effect) but still good for a single betta :).
