Kinda boring lol, while reading all I could imagine was that it was a location that they just "dumped" rocks off of boats. I could easily see it as being an old fishing tactic to get fish to start staying in that area.

Would be a shame if they started digging it up and messing around with it...

Seems like whatever it is, it's a little ecosystem now.

Oh c'mon! Where's your sense of adventure? I read this yesterday and thought it'd be cool if I could go scuba diving and check it out for myself. If I'm correct from my reading of previous underwater archaeology excursions, they don't necessarily remove the item(s) from the water... they just unearth/excavate it. It would take an incredible amount of money to remove these items from the water and most archaeologists aren't funded with an incredible amount of money. There are other archaeological findings like this around the world.
