Description:
|
The MP40wES is the workhorse of the VorTech line. Well proven on tanks between 50 and 500+ gallons, the MP40 produces 1,000 to 3,200 gallons of flow per hour and will span up to 3/4 -inch glass.
VorTech pumps offer a low profile and broad flow. The magnetically coupled design keeps heat and wires out of the tank. No accessories to buy for wave making or multi-pump use also make VorTechs a great value.
All “w” denominated VorTech pumps come with an RF module installed standard. The RF module will allow up to 8 “w” pumps of any type to work together in sync, anti-sync or coordinated modes.

We bought 2 of these last month to add to our 75 gallon reef. They are the best powerhead money can buy. Fully adjustable from 1000 gph to 3200gph and have a wide range of wave and flow settings to adjust perfectly to your reef, plus they communicate wirelessly to other Vortech power heads to either sync or antisync the flow. I have them set to 75% reef crest mode anti-synced on our tank and there is not a single dead spot in the tank. Our coral love it. Its more then strong enough for most demanding SPS but gentle enough in spots for our delicate LPS coral. The only downside I've found so far is their price. At $450 each it took a few years to save up for them, but they are well worth every penny.
