Description:
Flourite is a unique gravel specifically designed for the planted aquarium. Essential nutrients are already in the gravel, so no supplements are needed. It can be mixed with other gravel or used alone. For best results at least half of the substrate mixture should be of Flourite. For freshwater use only.

Positive aspects of the product (pros):
Love the black color, easy to maintain, provides/holds nutrients
Cons:
Price, not locally available
I began using this sand when I switched over to a planted tank. I love the black sand because it contrasts well with the green plants and it really helps to make the fish pop. I don't even vacuum the poop off of the sand because it just blends right in and my plants eventually use it as fertilizer. Only complaint is I had to order it online and it could be a bit expensive.

I found this to be a very good product. Easy to wash, and the plants seem to do better in it. Its not as black as I would like it, but it still looks really good.

I've noticed that people HATE it when you point out how stupid they are, so now I try to do it politely.
