Positive aspects of the product (pros):
multiple flow paterns, 3 stage media, built in venturi
Cons:
bulky, clogs easily, debris empties back into tank when turned off.

I bought the newer U2 model to provide added filtration to my 20gal when i decided to do live plants. I like the fact that this model has 3 different flow modes(top nozzle with venturi, bottom nozzle and spray bar) and 3 stage filtration. The only drawback is that when you turn it off to take it out for cleaning, most of the debris goes back into your tank. I have also had plant matter slip into the impeller and clog the filter at times.
