Positive aspects of the product (pros): Price
Cons: You have to cut to fit

I have been using 100 micron version of this filter pad in my XP2 for a week now. I really dose catch a lot of stuff out of the water. You have to check this at least weekly. After one week in my tank, I was impressed with how clear the water was and amazed at how dirty the pad was.

A low cost alternative to the manufactures filter media

If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.
