Description:
Bio-MAX filter media are inert ceramic rings that are capable of supporting large populations of water purifying bacteria. Composed of a variety of channels and tunnels the multitude of tiny pores can support these colonies of beneficial bacteria. Bio-MAX is an ideal biological filter media that will make the most of any filter system due to its huge capacity to support the organisms responsible for metabolizing ammonia and nitrite.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): A little more money
Cons: More pores and it comes with two media bags

This product is a little more pores than Hagen Fluval ceramic rings and seams to build up gunk on it a little quicker. I like it a little more than the Hagen Fluval rings
