Fluval power filters provide optimum aquarium filtration for healthy fish and aquatic plant life. Consisting of a circulating pump and filter case, the Fluval underwater filter is extremely easy to use and requires minimum maintenance.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): flow rate
Cons: factory sponge filter

I bought one of these filters not too long after I started keeping fish. Itís a good little filter for a 20 gallon tank. It will nicely move all the water in your tank. Itís got a good flow rate of approximately 90 gallons / hour when filled with media. I only thing I donít like about these filters is that the media capacity of the foam as suggested by Hagan doesnít give you a lot of filter media to work with. IMO, your should not use any of the filter media as suggested by Hagen and fill the compartment 80% full with biomax rings. That really improves the filterís capabilities

If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.
