Bought this to use in my 24" deep hex tank. It works very well, and can be used for more than just tending plants, like retrieving dropped objects or probing in your tank without getting wet to the shoulder. Cutting scissors work well, but be sure to dry them off after use before storing - it helps keep the edge sharp. It's not very good for planting large plants, but for small stuff it's great.

Great tool for anybody to have. Grabber head and cutter head exchange easily. Well worth the $14.00 dollars mine cost.

great for planting/pruning, especially in deep tanks

I bought this to help me reach the bottom of my 24" deep planted tank. I have short arms so even in a more shallow tank it is a pain to bury plant roots under the substrate. This made it so much easier. I use it to pick up stuff off the bottom of the tank and it grabs small objects fairly easily. Wish I had bought these a long time ago. Tongs and shears are very easy to interchange too.
