Positive aspects of the product (pros):
|
Good source of protein, fish did go crazy over them
|
Cons:
|
Too big for small fish, causes bloating, fish seemed to lose interest over time, wood in mix, empty "shells"
|
At first my guppies went crazy over these although they had problems eating them - they were simply too big.
I crushed them up into a fine powder - perhaps too fine, they're not so crazy about them now.
There is some debris in the mix - small pieces of wood and empty bloodworm "shells" (transparent body casings?) which the fish won't eat.
The fish seem to bloat up with this food, I don't give it to them more than once a week. But they do need the protein.
I suppose a higher quality bloodworm is in order.

My fish didn't seem to like these as much as other brands, not sure why.

Freeze-dried so not the best for digestion
|
Started with these before reading about freeze-dried food causing digestion issues. Fed for about a week and then dumped them down the toilet. Fish liked them ok, but the food seemed so-so in terms of quality. A lot of crumbs and powder, but I guess that's hard to avoid with freeze dried food.
------------------------------ The early bird may get the worm, but it's the second mouse that gets the cheese.
