Positive aspects of the product (pros):
Fairly accurate for a test strip, reliable brand name
Cons:
pH pad "wahes away", low nitrate and nitrate readings hard to tell apart
Not bad for a test strip. The results do appear to agree with API's liquid tests, so it's fairly accurate.
The biggest problem I have with these is that they pick up so much water that the pH test pad reagent gets washed away and you have to read a pale, washed away colour to compare against the solid colours on the chart.
The nitrite and nitrate readings are also hard to differentiate at the lower end of the scale - they're just *slightly* pink and a small change in the pink intensity leads to a big change in the reading.
GH and KH readings are easy, probably because I'm at the extreme end of the scale on both of them, so it leads to really bright, solid, unambiguous colours.

Positive aspects of the product (pros):
quick, easy to use, more accurate than most test strips
Cons:
$$$ water pools on pads and runs onto others, hard to differentiate readings with chart
These test strips are pretty good compared to others I have used. I usually use these when I dont have time to use my API Freshwater Master Test Kit, but when I do have time to do both, the readings from both are the same, so these test strips are pretty accurate. The only problems I have had with these is the same as the reviewer before me stated...that almost every time, too much water collects on the pads and then flows onto the pads surrounding it, rinsing away some of the results, so it makes it kind of difficult. Also, when looking at the color chart, there are large jumps in numbers but indistinguishable changes in color, so it is hard to tell exactly what the reading is. For what these cost, just invest in a real test kit and use these as a backup for when you dont have the time.
