Works as a separator for smaller fish
Cons:
everything else
A waste of money for breeding, too small too breed egg scatterers, and too small for most larger aggressive fish.

Makes a good water diffuser, clear
Cons:
too small, restricts water flow too much, breaks easily
I would recommend this but not for it's intended use. When I had sick fish I would put them in so I could take pictures of them or to get a better look at them. I would also use it to pour water into when doing water changes so it didn't mess up the sand at the bottom. Other than that it's pretty useless. There is a mesh breeder net that is bigger and gets better water flow if you really want to use one of these.

Good seperation for fry
Cons:
Small
It's a good fry trap for live bearers but it's on the smaller size and can stress larger fish like platties and mollies. It does crack easily, although I've never had the water flow issues that other have had.

Is good for large fry
Cons:
Not so good for small fry

I used this to catch convict fry in. I caught them, and my gourami sat on the other side of it sucking the babies out of the slats. Soooo... For smalls babies bad, big babies, good.
