Positive aspects of the product (pros):
Works, cheap
Cons:
Doesnt last
This product is cheap and works well, but submerging and removing it several times will result in them breaking apart a lot more easily. Spend the money and get a more reliable stone that will last longer.

They work for a while
Cons:
They stop working after a while
These work quite well for a while. They deteriorate relatively quickly however, and the stone itself becomes detached from the plastic piece that attaches the unit to the air line. I don't recommend these. Spend a little more and purchase a more long-term solution.

Some airstones work fine
Cons:
Some don't!
I'm using one in my main tank, works fine, no problems at all...
I got one from a bulk package ($0.39!) for my new hospital/quarantine tank and I got a dud - it blows all the air in huge bubbles through one opening right near the base. It must have cracked or something.
For 39 cents I'm not concerned too much about the cost, it's the fact that it's not working and replacing it with another one will be a crapshoot.
