Positive aspects of the product (pros):
|
Good balance of nutrients, easy to feed
|
|
Cons:
|
Not as good as pellets
|
One of the best tropical fish flakes out there, although it can't quite measure up to a good high quality pellet. Still, it is easy to feed to fish with many different size mouths, and when finely crushed is a good staple for livebearer fry.

large flakes

So far no complaints. The fish happily eat it and they are showing good colors. I crush it up before I add it to the tank because some of the flakes are pretty big.

Well recieved, good staple food.

Cons:

Cheaper options are available for flake.

No complaints from any of my fish either. This flake is happily accepted.
There are cheaper options out there for flake, and in some cases other foods make better staple food than flake.

Good quality flake
|
|
Cons:
|
a bit oily
|
Fish liked it, but it's a bit oily, leading to more of a biofilm than other foods. I prefer pellets instead but not a bad flake choice.

Fish love it, readily available, whole fish first ingredient
|
|
Cons:

None

Omega one is the highest quality fish food available for purchase at a retail store in my area. The first ingredient is always whole fish of some sort or kelp if it is a kelp-based flake/pellet/wafer. The fish definitely enjoy it and their colors are bright.

My fish don't like it as well as Omega One color flakes but all will eat it, my betta loves this so much he will take it from my fingers.

Most expensive flake

An excellent option for community tanks, everything from acaras to cories will eat this and show great colors for it. Not for the fishkeeper on a budget though, if you're willing to spend the extra 2$ the quality is AMAZING :)

Good quality, top notch ingredients

Cons:

a little "hard", some bits are impossible
|
Omega one appeared to me an excellent food, considering its ingredients and the reputation that comes along with anything by this company. I did however have some issues with this food.
One, not all my fish will eat it. The only tank that readily accepts it is my neon tank, they, and the Betta with them love this stuff. My guppies, Harlequins, other Betta, red eyes and phantoms completely ignore it. Even my pond goldfish really don't care for it. It makes no sense to me. (The Goldfish will, however, eat Omega one Goldfish flakes, go figure)
The second odd thing, there are hard "bits", stick like pieces that can't be broken up. Feels like tiny little twigs! They are hard as a rock, and I have to pick them out, making feeding a bit of a nuisance.
