Description:
Compact, high output air pump for multiple aquarium setups or high-pressure/high-flow devices. Similar in design to larger high-capacity air pumps, these energy-efficient magnetic piston air pumps are perfect for protein skimmers, ozone/oxygen reactors and other aquarium devices. Drives numerous limewood and other airstones, undergravel filters, foam filters, corner filters, air-driven filters and ornaments even in deep-water applications. 3/8" outlet. Includes adjustable 4-outlet metal valve and 6-outlet plastic valve that accept standard airline tubing.

Positive aspects of the product (pros):
older style SL-65 is my best and most forgiving air pump owned so far. Air intake is directable with added tubing.
Cons:
Older style SL-65; Strong vibrations and is more noisy than preferred. Nifty handle broke. Costed me over $100

I currently use this older (white powder coated Al and black plastic) SL-65 to support my bank of linked 14 smaller aquariums (4gal, 5gal, 10 gal (x7), 15H, 20L(x2), 18H, 20H). It used to power a 60gal and 75gal tank bank and did so fine (moved mainly to test another model). First I had it on (and bought it for) a 90gal(? 2'tx3'wx3'l) corner tank but proved to be too powerful in both volume and pressure (popped airstones and air lift tube elbos off). I've made an effort, over time, to buy differing brands and models of air pumps. This is my only piston pump. So far, I am most comfortable with trusting this one over all others and compare them to this one. Unlike all other models I've tried, this one allows me to make my own mufflers (lengths of directed tubing) and attach extra air filtration (from motorcycle carburetors). When I "oops'ed" and let water in the air intake it did not quit or have any detected issues.
