Description:
BIO-Spira contains several species of the actual nitrifying bacteria that break down ammonia and nitrite in your aquarium. It maintains the ammonia and nitrite levels below 1.5 during the initial cycle of a new tank and will speed up the completion of the cycle.
Keywords: Bio-Spira is ''biological filtration'' in bottle

Positive aspects of the product (pros): It jump starts your cycle and keeps your ammonia and nitirites at very low levels while cycling a new tank. Plus, you can add fish to your tank immediately.
Cons: None

I recently used Bio-Spira in my 40g when I introduced my 2 bp's and 1bn. BIO-Spira contains several species of the actual nitrifying bacteria that break down ammonia and nitrite in your aquarium. It maintains the ammonia and nitrite levels below 1.5 during the initial cycle of a new tank and will speed up the completion of the cycle.
It definitely worked. I lost no fish and non appeared stressed during the cycle. Some people say they cycled in 7 days but it took my tank about 2 1/2 weeks. I highly recommend this product.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Amazing for speeding up a fish cycle
Cons: kind of expensive

Great for speeding up a fish cycle, if you aren't going fishless then definitely pick some of this up.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Works.
Cons: Only available for SW?

This used to be the go-to bacteria culture before they were available on the shelf. Works as advertised (though perhaps could do more for nitrite) but apparently is no longer available for fw. So, if you cant find it for FW try Tetra SafeStart
