These lights are absolutely junk. DO NOT waste your money. Mine burned through several bulbs in 9 months, and then both ballasts quit. I retrofitted mine with a good ballast. When I opened it up, I was astonished. The ballasts were plastic encased garbage, hot glued to the case. The "reflector" is so thin that I was able to cut it with scissors. And you need to be a near magician to get everything to realign to reassemble the ends.

A must have for anybody that is interested in keeping tropical fish. It has all the common fish and alot you will probably never see and this is just volume 1.
I paid alot for a new copy but you can find good used copies for a lower price.

Just setup this filter 24 hrs ago. It was super easy to setup. I have read people have an issue with priming, not the case here. Just fill the canister with water and turn on. Instantly started, it blew bulbs off an on for about 5 minutes until all the air got out of the media. My tank crystal clear the next morning. The motor it self is also very quiet. I had to walk over and put my hand on it to verify that it was actually running.

I have the 75 for a 55g that came with the tank as a kit. Easy to set up and get running out of the box. The motor is very quiet and I find the water trickle very soothing. (Tank is near my bed) The one issue I personally have is how the main filter tank is set up. Any addition of bio media has to be improvised and the only filters available have carbon in them which is essentially useless after a month. But, with a little improvisation the performance can be greatly improved. I stuck a bag of ceramic bio media in front of the second filter pad and put a bunch of polyester filter fiber in between each filter and it's plastic 'bio cage'. About 2 days later my water was noticeably clearer and my nitrate levels dropped from 10-20 to 5.

Got the 60 for my 55g and it works great for my bubble strip. I even have it all the way on the floor and the hose goes up about 4 1/2 feet to the top of the tank and the pressure is more than adequate. You can barely hear the pump running over the trickle of the water coming off of the water filter. Quality product.

I can't get the perfect output speed. With the circulation mode it really gets a current going and makes my plants lay over almost 45*, no matter what angle I set it up as. With the powerhead mode it seems under powered.
