Bullmastiff Resources
The Bullmastiff was created to find and immobilise poachers and is an exceptionally strong breed. It is believed to be a cross between the Bulldog and the English Mastiff. The male dog reaches a height of 25-28 inches (63-69 cm) at the withers, while females stay around 24-26 inches (61-66 cm). The Bullmastiff is extremely protective of its family and must therefore be properly trained to avoid incidents. It should however be noted that Bullmastiffs rarely attack perceived assailants; they only knock the person over and hold him or her down until a human handler decides what to do next. This breed was created to immobilise poachers; not injure them. If you want to learn more about this fiercely loyal breed, you can visit some of the following Bullmastiff resources.
